A thabat is a work that details chains a scholar's chains of hadith transmission. Since most hadith chains from the Indian subcontinent go through Shah Abdul Ghani, his thabat is considered to be the standard for chains of the subcontinent. This work contains the asanid of Mufti Muhammad Shafi, the former Grand Mufti of Pakistan, which adds on to al-Yani al-Jani by mentioning sanads between Shah Abdul Ghani and scholars from Darul Uloom Deoband.
